Film Scoring, Composition, Arranging, & Orchestration

With over 20 years experience writing music for various ensembles in a wide variety of genres, I am available create whatever you need for your project. From solo instruments to string quartet to brass choir, vocal groups, big bands, orchestras or any grouping of musicians, I will write interesting, fun and challenging arrangements for your ensemble. This also includes scores music for films and television projects.

I am a Certified Protools User, and can work in Logic and Ableton Live along with Final Cut Pro.

As an instructor, Dr. Russ Spiegel has more than 25 years of teaching under his belt. Having taught in schools, universities, and a variety of workshops all around the world, and with an extensive amount of experience in all aspects of music creation, Russ is available for workshops, seminars, and private instruction.

FIU Music Hour & University Teaching

Russ Spiegel hosts the FIU Music Hour every Tuesday on WDNA 88.9FM. He uses his platform to showcase up-and-coming jazz musicians, as well as contemporary and faculty, alumni, and student ensembles.

Russ currently teaches Live Music Operations at Florida International University and Jazz Guitar at Miami-Dade College, Kendall Campus.
